| At 9pm on a cold Rainey evening in London The Barenaked ladies exploded on stage on the 3rd date of their European tour. Although the last Hit they had in this country was One week some seven years ago every one in the crowd seemed to know the material from the new album Everything To Everyone, in which they played around 9 tracks from, as well as all the classics, Its all been done, if I had a $1,000,000, Pinch me, Brian Wilson and a great Acoustic version of One Week. These guys were so tight in there playing and the made up raps about random things shouted by the audience and things thrown on stage were fantastic. No other Band I have ever seen has done anything like this before, these guys are awesome. Ed did say to the audience that they were sorry they have been away for so long but they had been busy “with stuff”. The general banter with the crowd was funny it was if five friends had arrived from outer town and we were just catching up on old times. After two hours on stage and two encores they left. The British side of their Record Company should get their act together and start publicising this band. It was only by chance I came across the Gig on there own web site, its time BNL were big in the UK. Come on guys spend some money. (Sorry got carried away) My only gripe about the gig was that they never sang Falling for the First time, only because it’s my favourite BNL Song. It’s a shame that The BNL do not get the recognition that they deserve in this country. Try and catch them on the rest of there European tour. Thanks for coming guys, but try not to leave it too long next time
